# Recital 24

The Commission should carry out an evaluation of this Directive that should be based on the five criteria of efficiency, effectiveness, relevance, coherence and EU added value, and that evaluation should provide the basis for impact assessments of possible further measures. The evaluation should be completed by 18 August 2029, to allow for the gathering of sufficient data on its practical implementation. Information should be collected regularly in order to inform the evaluation of this Directive,
