Digital Services Act (DSA) Self Assessment
The Digital Services Act (DSA), effective as of February 2024, is a key component of the EU’s digital governance strategy. Focusing on user protection from illegal content, harmful products, and disinformation it promotes consumer safety, fundamental rights, and a transparent online platform environment. The DSA imposes tiered obligations, with more requirements for service providers with greater social reach and impact. Like the GDPR and AI Act, the DSA has extra-territorial scope, requiring non-EU providers to appoint an EU legal representative.
